College of the Desert consisted of a 41,000-GSF, four-story off-site center building in downtown Indio, California. The 2.5-acre, square, city block project is a collaboration with the City of Indio and the College to redevelop Indio’s downtown district. The facility contains administrative and financial offices, 13 classrooms, two science labs, two meeting rooms, an active learning lab, two conference/training center rooms and retail space on the first floor as a revenue generator for the District. The LEED Silver designed building includes energy-efficient building systems as well as planned renewable energy efficient interior finishes.
